DATEBOOK NEWS CALENDAR
The Datebook calendar is a listing and description of news events scheduled to take place in the San Francisco Bay Area. Used by our media, government and business subscribers, the Datebook helps them plan for news conferences, visits by dignitaries, conventions, conferences, government meetings and court appearances. It includes telephone contact numbers and each listing is double-checked for accuracy.

It comes in three parts:
  1. A week-long version called Looking Ahead alerts assignment editors to upcoming news conferences, public appearances, meetings and the like.
  2. The Daily Datebook Segment I comes out each weekday afternoon with a list of confirmed events for the next day.
  3. Segment II, which moves shortly after midnight, includes late-arriving items and a Court Calendar listing major cases docketed for that day.
In addition, Datebook Advisories alert subscribers throughout the day to events that are scheduled on the spur of the moment, such as a briefing during a disaster or a news conference about a developing story.

ENTERTAINMENT CALENDAR
Upon request, Bay City News can compile a weekly entertainment calendar sorted by place or genre such as museums, exhibits, outdoors, kids events, dance, classical music, popular music, stage, comedy, general, tours and weekend highlights. We can also provide professional stage and musical performance reviews, and stories about exhibits.
